The Zoning and Code Enforcement Office is part of the Bureau of Public Affairs and is located on the first floor of City Hall. The City of Pottsville, as a planned community, requires approval for all new building construction as well as remodeling and additions to existing buildings, and Donald Chescavage, as the Codes Administrator, is responsible for the issuance of these permits. Inspections are performed using standards outlined in the 1996 BOCA Building Codes.


Zoning and Building permits may be obtained Monday through Friday during business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Diane Fiorillo is the Secretary in the Zoning and Code Enforcement Office and assists Mr. Chescavage.
